Mustafa Şentop, President of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, emphasized that they support the vision put forward by President Ersin Tatar during the negotiations in Geneva.

Mustafa Şentop, the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), who took the first floor at the reception, stated that they were pleased with the increase in the number of visits between the commissions and wished the meetings to be fruitful.
Stating that the Turkish Grand National Assembly has always acted together with the Turkish Cypriots, Şentop noted that they are carrying out a common cause.
Şentop, TRNC President Ersin Tatar’s vision put forward in the negotiations in Geneva, emphasizing that it would be best to act with a new thesis. Şentop emphasized that this is two separate peoples and two separate states.
Stating that they support Turkish President Erdoğan's call at the United Nations, Şentop said that they have always conveyed the necessity of this call to their interlocutors.
Stating that they think it would be right to talk with new perspectives and theses, Şentop stated that they are making efforts to produce a decision in the same direction at the meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic States to be held in the near future after the observer membership to the Organization of Turkic States.
Şentop said, “I would also like to emphasize that we are doing our best for the development of the economic welfare of our brothers and sisters in the TRNC and for stable developments. We are also very pleased with the increase in mutual visits between the two parliaments.”.
Şentop added that it would be beneficial for the parliaments to have high-level relations between the Administrative Organizations at the level of secretaries general in terms of mutual exchange of experience.
BEROVA
Committee on Administrative, Public and Health Affairs Committee Chairman Özdemir Berova In his speech, he stated that they are here as the parliament of two separate states of a single nation and that they are proud to be in the homeland under the roof of the Veteran Assembly.
Berova emphasized that the relations of the Turkish Cypriot people with the Republic of Turkey date back much earlier than the establishment of the TRNC, and that they have never severed their relations with their homeland and established their own Republic, and that this struggle is still ongoing.
Berova stated that with both political and economic support from Turkey, they continue to walk confidently and confidently into the future, and noted that as a country recognized only by the Republic of Turkey, they are struggling to ensure the continuity of the state despite various embargoes, especially sports embargoes.
Stating that this is the reason for developing the solution model based on the cooperation of two equal, sovereign states, which also has the full support of the motherland Turkey, Berova stated that “the Cyprus problem can only be solved in the most realistic way by realizing this reality”.
Berova concluded his speech as follows:
“Turkish President Mr. Erdogan's speech at the United Nations is very meaningful and his observer membership to the Organization of Turkic States is a very important development for our state. I would like to express our full belief that there will be new steps towards the recognition of TRNC with the support of Motherland Turkey in the past, present and future.”
The delegation is expected to hold meetings with the National Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Committee and the Health, Family, Labor and Social Affairs Committee.
